Jim Hannaford is a longtime writer who plays music in the area as Jimmy Lee Hannaford. A native of Jackson, Miss., he moved to the Eastern Shore in 2007 after spending considerable time on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Texas and New Mexico. He started his writing career as a newspaper reporter and has regularly contributed to magazines such as Portico and Hook and Barrel. He is the Author of Troy: A Legacy of Champions and Co-Author of Buffalo Thunder: The Athletic Tradition of West Texas University.
